compostable paper

compostable paper made from grass! Strictly speaking, it is dried hay that is processed using a patented process and used as a raw material in the paper mill's production cycle instead of fresh fibers (wood) or recycled paper.

A cellulose-based product is referred to as compostable paper.

Grass paper is ideal for food packaging (e.g. for fruit, vegetables, eggs, milk, etc.) or for food (e.g. cereals, confectionery, pastries or cosmetics and drugstore items.

Grass paper is recyclable and compostable and has all the certificates and approvals for extensive use in the paper and packaging industry.

The grass for the compostable paper comes mainly from otherwise unused compensation areas, which as biotopes may only be mowed very late. At this point, the grass has grown so tall that it can no longer be used for animal feed.

Late mowing ensures biodiversity and thus also protects the bees.
